Travel & Visa

Costa Rica is serviced by the Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) which is the main airport of Costa Rica, serving its capital San José. It is located in the province of Alajuela, 18 km from the city of San José. It has many regular direct flights from several cities in North America, Europe, and South/Central America.
 

Transportation information

The hotel is about a 1h30 drive from the SJO airport.
- Private/group transportation: An agreement with a local transportation company (Costa Rica DMC) has been signed. The transportation costs are US$ 55 + 13% tax, for one-way service and $99 + 13% tax for a round-trip service. This service can be booked on this link.
- Taxi, Uber, and car rental are also available from/to the SJO airport.
 

Visa requirements

Generally, tourists holding a valid passport may enter Costa Rica without a written permit and remain for a period of up to 90 days. As of 19 July 2023, Costa Rican citizens had visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 151 countries and territories.
